Neapoljs User Access Control The
Neapoljs User Access Control allows you to have total control over the
look & feel, all page elements, functions, search options, maps & layers and
assign them to individual user groups. In addition all actions can
optionally be stored in logging files or in the database for analysis
purposes.

Users & Groups Neapoljs allows to define Users and Groups. For each
group one can basically define individual applications having total control
of the GUI and along with it all of the Neapoljs elements and functions:
Groups
Groups for the internet (password free access) and for the
administrator are defined by default. Any other group can be defined as
one likes. In addition, the access control can easily be integrated within
your existing access control system.
Users
After one has defined groups, users can be added:
-
Assign / change the password
-
The public user (internet) can be deactivated if there
is restricted access only
-
Restrict the access to an IP or to IP ranges

Logging Using the Neapoljs CMS, you can define
what shall be logged for each of the users or in general. This is what one
could call "big brother", however it is extremely useful:
-
Usage of the functions and analysis of the areas of
interest.
-
See which maps are used (and which are not used
...).
-
Used search options and results.
-
Proof that a user has printed a map at a
specific time (i.e. if a construction company digs a hole and hits your
fiber network after they printed a map ...).
Logging Options The user dependent logging options are:
-
Functions: log all functions used; for navigation
functions the coordinates are as well stored.
-
Search Options and resulting coordinates are logged.
-
Displayed Maps and Layers are logged, so that you could
do i.e. a ranking.
-
The total number of map displays.
-
The prints using HTML, optionally including the
generated image (database only).
-
The prints using PDF, optionally including the
generated PDF (database only).
The logs can be written either to the Neapoljs database or to text files.
