Graphical User Interface [GUI] This is one of the
key functionalities of Neapoljs: Its capabilities to allow administrators to
design almost any user interface. Neapoljs comes along with over 20
ready-to-go templates one can use and change to its needs.

Templates: How do I create and assign Neapoljs Templates to
applications and/or User Groups?

Ready-to-go Templates
GUI-templates are one of the key features of Neapoljs. Normally one spends many
hours if not days to create a web mapping GUI. Using one of the over 20
templates Neapoljs comes with, it makes it a task of minutes to get going with a
professional looking site.

User defined Templates
You can take any of the built-in templates and edit it
as you like. This using a browser based, intuitive user interface which
makes it an extremely easy task. Neapoljs allows you to:

Position any of the page elements
as you like in a precise way using screen coordinates.

Turn any of the page elements
on or off.

Add any number of custom elements such as text
or images.
-
Style any of the page elements,
such as fonts. text, size and so on.

Preview the result at any time.
-
Measure coordinates and position
elements using the preview.

Copy, export and import templates
as you like.

Page Elements
Page elements shall be explained along with the image below:

Custom image on the upper left.
One can add as many custom images and text as one wants.

Toolbar: use of any images for the
toolbar in any shape and size. Any of the toolbar elements can be
positioned by itself and be made available or not. Be aware, that
templates can be assigned to user groups, means you can assign
specific functions to specific users.

Overview Map: can optionally be
turned on permanently, be toggled on or off or left off completely

Map: position and size the map.
-
Search options choice: as buttons or as drop down list.

Map choice: as buttons or
as drop down list.
-
Layer choice: as checkboxes or as
drop down list.

And many other components such
as dynamic coordinate display, tooltips, zoom slider, language selection,
measurements results etc.


Using templates
Once you are happy with your template, you can:
- Create a new site starting from it.
- Assign the template to a site.
- Assign the template to a specific user group.
