Neapoljs Gallery The gallery shows a
collection of Neapoljs based Web Mapping Application. Some of the application
were highly adopted to the clients needs, another strength of Neapoljs,

MapPlus is the most complete on-line Geographical Information
System of Switzerland. Beside searching by address you can display and search for over

ortsplan.ch: Swiss Localities Maps

Since 1979
Miplan Inc. creates paper City Maps all over Switzerland. And since a
few years these maps were present on the internet as more or less static
maps. In spring 2002 Miplan decided to make their maps dynamic
and to eventually cover the whole of Switzerland. The application is
quite complex as you see:

Integration of the Tele Atlas street data with
sophisticated search routines on more then 4000 localities, 100'000
streets and 1.5 million addresses

Integration of the Miplan City Maps, each with
its own optimum zoom level

Search algorithms for companies depending from
the found locality and display of related adds

Search for POIs, depending from the found
locality
-
Mail-Function: capability to send the current
map along with the shown information
-
Start Parameters for the different languages,
localities and companies

Extended Logging functionality
The application has been realized in four languages (English, German,
Italian and
French).

Telecom Sites
Swisscom GSM, EDGE and UMTS Coverage

Mobile Unlimited was a world first from Swisscom Mobile, a
service making it possible to use all the technologies for wireless data
transmission from GPRS to UMTS and WLAN via a single PC data card. Like
a car with automatic transmission, it switches over automatically as
soon as a faster speed becomes available. Mobile Unlimited is the first
product ever to enable a seamless handover, i.e. automatic,
uninterrupted switching between different types of transmission
technologies. For the launch of Mobile Unlimited Swisscom Mobile
contracted TYDAC to create an interactive coverage tool showing GSM,
EDGE and UMTS coverage.

Orange Network Planning & Coverage

Orange uses Neapoljs for all their internet and intranet Web Mapping
applications. The flexibility of the Neapoljs CMS for creating
application for different needs and different design, allowed Orange and
TYDAC to develop the application in a very short time. Especially the
intranet applications being fairly complex, i.e. accessing live network

Sunrise Mobile Coverage Tools

Sunrise offers on the internet a set of integrated tools
where customers can check the following:

Coverage: GSM, EDGE and UMTS availability

Coverage Feedback: Sumbit trouble tickets

WLAN Hotspot Finder

Check Myzone availability (low tariffs using
the mobile from home)
In addition Call Center and Resellers can check for
network coverage and real time antennas status. The application is
linked to an Oracle Database with the current status of mobile
transmitters and shows the current and planned mobile network coverage.

In Spring 2004 TYDAC won the tender for a countrywide Fixnet Network
Information System. Highlight of this Neapoljs based application are:

The integration of over 100'000 raster maps (GeoTIFF).

The integration of Neapoljs in several external
systems and databases (i.e. in Powergate, which is the Swisscom
wide Access Control System).
-
Output: rotated and scaled printing of maps using
PDF
-
Extensive Logging: For example, due to legal
reasons, all printed PDF files are logged and stored into a MySQL
database

Regional and Local Sites
geoportal.ch: Geo-Portal of the Cantons SG and AI/AR

Geo-Portal is the geographical information system of the
cantons of St. Gall and Appenzell and their municipalities. The
Geo-Portal provides geographical data for the administration of the
cantons and for all citizens.
The cantons decided a while ago to outsource their GIS
services. Therefore the portal is run by a private company, GEOINFO
Herisau AG, Switzerland.
The portal provides a whole range of geographical
information along with dynamic legends, meta-data information and all
kinds of related attributes. This makes more to a full featured GIS and
not just the usual viewer system. In addition it is probably one of
the largest publicly accessible databases in Europe with over 6 GB
of data. Maps are available for the following themes:

Neapoljs for Autodesk MapGuide: geoProRegio
online

geoProRegio: Web-Platform for regional Geo Services
With geoProRegio a first application
based on Neapoljs for MapGuide Enterprise has gone online. TYDAC has
ported Neapoljs to the Autodesk platform at record speed. This speaks
for Neapoljs, but as well for Autodesk MapGuide. Our developers were in
any case enthusiastic about the product.

The contract to implement the Geodata-Shop for the Grisons (the
largest Swiss Province) has been awarder last fall to TYDAC. Since April
the application is online and has been successfully launched. The application
is based on Neapoljs Mercato which relies on the following
products:

The application allows users to:

View and print all available datsets of the
Grisons. Printing to PDF up to A3-Format is free of charge and
widely used

Purchase and download preconfigured datasets,
such as surveying or planning data of a specific municipality

View, select, purchase and download data in
raster (GeoTIFF) and in several vector formats using a Web-GIS
front-end
Payment can be done in three different ways:

Stegemann + Partner is an engineering and planning company
located in Andelfingen, north of Zurich. HS Partner use their Neapoljs
based application geoWEINLAND
to serve communes with all kind of data. Extraordinary to this
application is:

First time use of
AGG-Technology for map display in a Neapoljs based
application. AGG means "Anti-Grain-Geometry". This technology allows
to create far better and sharper looking maps.

The new Neapoljs measurement tool which allows
to snap to any object or layer on the map

Grisons-Online

Along with Hasler Müggler Quinter
AG, engineers, planners and web-publishers, TYDAC developed this new
web-platform about the Grisons. Specialty of this platform is that it is
a "Geocentic-Platform", means almost all available information is
shown using a geographic background and through a geographic front-end.
A logical step if one thinks that 90% of the information has a
geographic component. Grisons-Online is based on Google Maps and
offers a wide range of information and functionality:
- Extensive map material such as topographic maps. aerial images,
street maps and landscape
- Several ten thousand Points of Interest about the Grisons
- A smart routing function, where one can take any address
or point of interest as start, intermediary or end point of the
route.
- Search functions for addresses and Points of Interest
- Editing function: Registered users can edit and add
Points of Interest
- Distance measurement
- Export to Google Earth
... and much more ... just try it out!

The surveying department of the city publishes all its data on the
intranet of the city, so that all of the 1'500 employees have access to
it. Currently there are more then 30 themes (map compositions)
available to the user. These are grouped into the following categories:

City of Chur

The city of Chur is the city with the highest bars density of
Switzerland as you can see from the image beside. Beside looking
for bars, the application is widely used by the population, the city and
its partners. For example all property owner information is
available on-line. In the extranet all networks (sewage, water,
gas etc.) have been made available for the partners and for engineers
and architects for a small yearly fee.

mapping application for the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz. Skier know the area

the brothers François Blanc (1806-1877) and Louis Blanc (1806-1852), who

applications, enforcements, development notifications and scheduled
properties all over the State of Malta. The application is
live-linked to the SQL-Server Database of the Planning Authority. The

City of Leicester, UK: CityStreAtZ

CityStreAtZ provides users with a mapping system that enables them to
search for addresses across the whole of the City of Leicester. Having
found a location you can ascertain a wide variety of information about
the neighbourhood in which the property is located, the services that
are nearby, you can even delve into the history of the area by
displaying historic maps.
